<li>Wait for the mouth to open wide.</li>
<li>Move the baby onto the breast with baby’s lower lip below the nipple. Do not move only the baby’s head but support the back of the neck and move the whole baby.</li>
<li>Look to see how the baby is attached.</li>
<li>Make sure that breast tissue does mot block the baby’s nose while she is sucking.</li>
<li>The mother should not lean over the baby. She should bring the baby to her breast, not move her breast to the baby.</li>
