- Organize Conference and workshop
During the first four month of each year, PATA sponsers and organizes a conference of its members with the objective of reviewing the process, exchanging ideas and planning for future programmes. These meetings are held at different area. The conference also serves as a unique promotional tool for the host government providing it an oppourtunity to show the travel industry from abroad what it has to offer in terms of tourist attractions and tourism plant to the foreign visitor.
- Increase Awareness:
It conducts awareness programme regarding tourism. PATA helps to increase awareness and build up contacts between tourist visiting destinations and the countries from which tourist generate and start their tour or travel. It assists new destinations to increase would attentions. It takes up issues of common concern to the tourism industry, such as presentative of heritage, culture and environment.
- Conduct Marketing Programme:
PATA coordinates the promotional marketing activities such as advertising, publicity and promotion. It is one of the most important function of PATA which is really helpful and essential for the better advertisement of the programmes which are going to be prepare or start. Conducting Marketing Programme prepares and distributes a wide selection of selling aids and sales promotion materials to travel agents, tour operators throughout the world. It plays a vital role in for marketing among the travel agencies etc towards the people around the world.
- Research and Development:
PATA organizes research seminars, workshops research presentation and technical assistance programme for its members for their easiness and for the better development . It also conducts research programme to formulate the marketing policies so that the market policies can be well known and can be handle in a very effective way after the research. The research programmes includes the collection, analysis and dissemination of travel information to improve and standardize the tourism statistics of the pacific region for the smooth and better conduction of it.
- Publication:
One of the essential function of PATA is publication.PATA has been publishing various publications, which provides the information regarding tourism. It is a very important function which is related to an analysis of tourism information and other areas or things related with tourism. The publications are related to the analysis of tourism information and other related tourism. PATA publications are the instruments of education to gain the knowledge of the field of tourism through which various types of knowledge can be known, learn or can be use.These publications are the main sources of information. Pacific Travel News, Pacific Area Destination Handbook, Hotel Directory, Travel Guide are the examples of PATA publications.
PATA Chapters and Objectives
PATA chapters are established at the part of the world to achieve the organizational goal of PATA. The chapter performs different promotional activities to benefits its makers which means PATA chapters deals with the various promotional activities for the benefits of its makers. PATA Chapters organize different events each year for its members. That means the chapters of the PATA are organized every years regarding for its members and theirs benefits. The main purpose of these chapters is to conduct education programme to keep PATA member up to date with travel tend. Some of the PATA’s objectives are:
- To bring all the PATA does members to develop a closer working relationship and a better understand.
- To obtain uniformity among the members.
- To play a role of leadership to lead the PATA members combined effort to attain the national and local people.
- To obtain opinions of its members on any objectives or on any subjects as required by PATA.
- To provide appropriate advice, consultancy expert experience ti the government and official organization.
- To provide a common forum to its members to conduct their various assigned responsibilities.
