Rate of chemical reaction, Average rate of reaction, measurement of rate reaction

Introduction:

The brach of physical chemistry which deals with the rate of reaction is called chemical kinetics. The study of chemical kinetics includes;

1. The rate of the reactions and rate laws.

2. The factors as temperature, pressure, concentration and catalyst, that influence the rate of a reaction.

3. The mechanism or the sequence of steps by which a reaction occures.

The most of the chemical reaction are spontaneous reaction. The reactant are converted into products. Very fast for example;

a. Reaction between sodium chloride and silver nitrate is very fast reaction to give precipitation of Agcl ( silver chloride ) and sodium nitrate.

$$Nacl+AgNo_3\longrightarrow Agcl+ NaNo_3$$

b. Reactants converted into products, very slow take month to year; for example rasting of Iron. $$ Iron+moist\;air \longrightarrow Rust$$

c. Between these two reaction there are many reaction which occure with reasonabic speed, for example;

$$ 2H_2O_2 \longrightarrow 2H_2O+ O_2$$

Rate of chemical reaction:

The rate of reactions is defined as the change is concentration of any of reactant or product per unit time,

Let us consider a simple reaction, $$ A \longrightarrow B$$
