There are two types of disaster. They are:
- Natural disaster: Natural disaster is the disaster which occurs naturally. Landslide, volcano, flood, hurricane, lightning, tsunami etc. are the examples of a natural disaster.
- Man-made disaster: Disaster caused by humans are the man-made disaster. Desertification, chemical disaster, machinery destruction, transport accidents etc are the man-made disaster.
Causes of disaster
A natural disaster is a disaster caused by nature, such as floods, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, avalanches, lahars (volcanic mudslides), landslides, industrialization sinkholes, blizzards, drought, hailstorms, heat waves, hurricanes, tropical storms, typhoons, Ice Ages, tornadoes, and wildfires. Urbanization, industrialization, unscientific development, unscientific cultivation are the main causes of the disaster.
Disaster Management
There are various causes of the disaster. According to the cause of the disaster, we can control or prevent such disaster. Following are the methods to manage disaster:
- Pre-plan for the natural disaster.
- Rescuing the victims of natural disaster.
