Dodgeball

The game in which team with the ball passes the ball to teammates or try to gain a point by hitting the opponent is known as dodge ball. The game is played for 10 minute and whichever team score more point that team wins.

Pass

If the passed ball could not be passed properly to the friend then the group may lose the game. So, the proper way of passing should be practiced. In dodgeball, it is considered to be better to pass the ball with one hand. The opponents will assume that they are about to be hit if the ball is passed to one hand. So, they try to feint but actually the ball will be passed to a friend. As a result, the person that receives the ball will be able to hit the opponent easily. The practice of passing could be done like one hand pass in basketball/port ball.

Group work
Being a team, dodgeball requires an important role of group work. Group work consists of passing the ball to friend, understanding between teammates to recognize opponents to hit and gain a point, group knowledge of making a safe pass and how to hit an opponent easily and to play accordingly are the group works. In same way defending group also should work in a group to aware the friend to one who is weak and not alert, how to get the ball into their hands, to be alert and fake the opponent also come under skill of group. It is better to play in such a way that if the thrown ball misses hitting an opponent then it is received by your own teammate as pass.

General Rules of Dodgeball

1. The game is played between two teams.
2. This game is played in the court that is 10-20 meters approximately.
3. The group can consist of 12-14 people.
4. The group of 6 people should be in the court 2 each outside the opponent's sideline and 3 of them will stand behind the end line. The other team will also position in the same way.
5. The game starts with a lottery or a toss. The winning team is given the ball.
6. At a signal of the start of the game, the team with the ball pass the ball to teammates or try to gain a point by hitting an opponent inside the court.
7. At the time of passing the ball or catching or hitting an opponent the specified line in front is not allowed to cross. For example, the player in the court is not allowed to cross the centerline, sideline or end line and hit, catch or pass the ball. In the same way, the player standing behind the end line is not allowed to cross the end line and come into the court.
8. The ball possession goes to the opposing team if the ball goes out of their playing area while passing or hitting the ball. Now the team with the ball tries to pass to teammates or hit the opponents.
9. If any group can hit an opponent then they get one point. The person hit by the ball goes out of the court and remains next to the opponent's right side of the court. The player standing outside the playing court shifts the places, one at a time, anti-clockwise. So, the one at the left of the playing court enters his/her court.
