Planing of Family

Planning which makes family members happy through proper management and proper use of resources is called the planning of family. It is needed to make any families happy and prosperous. Proper planning of family can only work for welfare of the family. Family welfare is possible only with the appropriate planning of family. While planning a family we should consider things like family size, family health etc. We should consider about making the family size small and happy.

Various activities can be performed under the planning of the family, some of them are:

• To adjust in social surrounding.

Women's involvement in planning of the family

A woman plays a significant role in making and designing the plans for family. The male dominated society of our country has not recognized the role of women as an important aspect of the family planning. Therefore, it is necessary to involve the women as equally as men in every aspect of the planning of family. They should be provided with family welfare education, training, help and opportunities for personality development. They should be treated as equally as me and given due respect to their emotions and feelings.

A woman has occupied more than half of the total population of Nepal. Thus, the planning without their active sand positive involvement remains useless and cannot meet the target. They should be given important responsibility in each and every aspect of the family planning. There is no doubt that women have an immense role in every aspect of development. We should not limit the women's potential in caring and bearing of the children, household chores, cattle rearing, farming activities, etc. But they should be given opportunity to take part in decision making.

If they are given opportunity, they can explain and convince them regarding the size of family, appropriate age at marriage, birth spacing, child care methods, etc. As a result, whole society will get a positive direction about the matter of planning of family and attending peace and prosperity. They can fight against bad social norms and values, superstitious belief. They can teach rural people about the use of contraceptive devices, maternal welfare and child health care, nutritious food, prevention methods from communicable diseases, environmental sanitation, etc.It is believed that if women is educated then whole family will be educated.

Planning of family for future

Young people must think how they accomplish their responsibilities to the family. It is important for them to know how they will make their family life happy. Such knowledge can be gained from family life education. It gives the knowledge for reproduction. The plans contain all important matters like what occupation to adopt, when to marriage, how many children to reproduce etc. It also gives us information and teaches us about birth spacing.
