Girl's Trafficking

Girl's trafficking is a social crime in which girls are attracted for job, employment, social dignity and of bright future and are sold in brothel for the purpose of sex trade.

Prostitution means to sell our own body for livelihood due to different compulsions. Generally girls are involved in prostitution (Sexual activities). The main causes of prostitution are as follows:

  • Trafficking of girls is the main cause of prostitution: Many of the girls from Nepal are trafficked and sent to different country for prostitution which is the main cause of prostitution.
  • Poverty: Many people are living under poverty. So, to live life happily they are involved in prostitution.
  • Lack of employment opportunities: Due to lack of employment opportunities, they choose prostitution as main source of income.
  • Lack of education to girls: Mainly illiterate girls are involved in prostitution because they cannot get good and qualified jobs.
  • lack of strict rules and regulations: In our country there is no strict rules and regulation, due to which prostitution is increasing overall the country.

This problem can be solved by following measures

  • Employment opportunities to women: If the women are provided with better jobs, they surely do not choose prostitution as source of income.
  • Women empowerment: If the women are empowered, they can get good jobs themselves and prostitution are decreased ultimately.
  • Formulation of strict rules and regulation: Government should formulate strict rules and regulation in order to avoid prostitution in the country.
  • Mass awareness: Awareness campaign should be launched in communities to aware people about negative impacts of prostitution. Thus, the prostitution will be abolished from our country.
